Alex was a defensive lineman for the Iowa Hawkeyes until 1957. He then played twelve seasons with the Detroit Lions, being selecting to the Pro Bowl in 1960, 1961, 1962, and 1965. Mr. Karras graciously signed my All-American card in seven days; thanks Mr. Karras!
