Alex Rodriguez 2002 Upper Deck Legends

Obtained: Via pack in 2002.

Alex has the unfortunate stigma of being the best player in the game, thus being the most scrutinized. Yet, it is hard to feel bad for a guy who makes over $22 million a year for playing a game he loves. Alex has had a rough time of it in New York since being acquired in 2004, even though he was AL Most Valuable player in 2005. Alex has played in ten All-Star games in thirteen seasons and was a 40/40 player at the age of 22 in 1998. Was the AL MVP in 2003 with Texas, where he also became the first reigning MVP to be traded the next off-season. Won the 1996 AL batting title, was a four time Home Run champ, and has also led the AL in RBI (2002), slugging twice, and runs four times.
