Seven AL pennants and three World Series championship teams wore orange and black, adorned with the trademark O. The original Orioles were a charter member of the American League in 1901, however, that team would only last two seasons, and in 1903, they became the New York Yankees. These Birds were formed in 1954, when the St. Louis Browns moved a bit northeast to play their games by the bay.
