"Easy" Ed Macauley was the youngest player enshrined in the basketball hall of fame when he was inducted in 1960 at the age of 32. In 1949, Macauley was named Associated Press collegiate player of the year. He played in seven straight NBA All-Star games (1951-'57) and was an All-NBA First Team selection three times. Macauley led St. Louis University over my New York University in 1948 to capture the NIT championship. Macauley is also remembered for being traded straight up for Bill Russell.
