Francis was the ninth overall pick of the 2002 draft, taken by the Rockies with their first pick. Starting 33 games in his rookie year, 2005, Francis compiled a 14-12 record with 128 Ks. The Vancouver, British Columbian was on the innagural Canadian WBC team skippered by former Blue Jay Ernie Whitt, who ironically, is not Canadian. Jeff kindly signed and returned both cards in thirty-nine days care of the Colorado Rockies. Thanks Mr. Francis!
