Obtained: Through the mail. Sent: August 23, 2006 c/o Home; Received: September 9, 2006.
Inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1976, Robin pitched 19 seasons and won 286 games. One of the Whiz Kids, Robin did it all in his time in the Major Leagues. His amazing 1952 season would have won him the Cy Young, had it existed. 28-7 with 330 IP and 2.59 ERA. It was good enough to finish second in NL MVP voting. From 1950-'56, Robin made the All-Star team sprinkling in six 20-win seasons. Led the NL in wins from '52-'55, strikeouts in '53-'54, games started from '50-'55, and complete games from '52-'56. Great guy with a great charitable organization, Robin signed for free for me this time, but sent a nice note saying he would really appreciate me donating to his charity. Will do, Robin; thanks again!
