Bob Patterson 1996 Leaf Signature

Patterson is best known for his work in relief on the early 90's Pirates teams that won three straight NL East championships, however, he was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 21st round of the 1982 draft out of East Carolina University and played his first Major League game as a Pad. Patterson was shelled in his first outting, giving up six earned via seven hits in two innings pitched. Pitched for thirteen seasons, wrapping up his career after the 1998 season with the Chicago Cubs.
