The Kansas Jayhawks have a surprisingly storied college football history dating back to 1890. The Jayhawks have produced two Pro Football Hall of Famers, John Riggins and Gale Sayers and boast the two longest rivalry series West of the Mississippi, second and third longest in the country overall (Only Notre Dame v. Navy is longer). Their feud with Missouri is affectionately known as the "Border War", with the winner receiving a giantic trophy named the Marching Band Drum Trophy.
