Obtained: Through the Mail c/o Home. Sent: October 30, 2006; Received: December 8, 2006. Thirty-nine days.
Larry was a second round selection in the 1969 draft by the Chicago Cubs. He would pitch for sixteen seasons, compiling a 126-97 record with a career 3.76 ERA. His crowning year would be 1980, making the All-Star team and starting two games in the 1980 World Series, racking up a 2.19 ERA in two no decisions with the Royals. Mr. Gura signed both of my 1981 Topps cards and returned them in thirty-nine days care of his home address; thanks Mr. Gura!
