Rick was drafted in the third round of the 1970 draft by the Chicago Cubs out of Western Illinois University. He would pitch for four teams over nineteen seasons, winning 214 games with a 3.37 ERA and 2015 strikeouts. Reuschel made three NL All-Star teams in 1977, 1987, and in 1989, at age 40. He won 20 games in 1977, and finished third in Cy Young voting. Rick kindly signed all four cards I sent through the mail care of his home address in just seven days; thanks Mr. Reuschel!
