The Giants are innagural member of the National League, having a storied history that includes five World Series' Championships and twenty pennants. The Giants were originally named the Gothams, in relation to their home in New York, before they changed their name in the 1880's. A move after the 1957 season to the West Coast landed them in San Fransisco.
