Brian Giles 2000 Fleer Showcase

Giles was a 17th round pick by the Cleveland Indians in 1989 and didn't get his shot at the Big Leagues until September 16, 1995. Amazingly, Giles hovers around .300 for his career and now has 260 HRs, and was an NL All-Star in 2000 and 2001. Not bad for a guy who spent seven years in the minors. Giles has been an immediate contributer for his new team, the San Diego Padres, where he was acquired for Jason Bay on August 26, 2003.
