Obtained: Through the mail. Sent: August 23, 2006 c/o Houston Astros; Received: September 26, 2006. Thirty-four Days.
Cooper was a five-time AL All-Star with the Milwaulkee Brewers after being drafted in the sixth round of the 1968 draft by the Boston Red Sox. Big man who knew when to turn on the power, Cooper hit .298 over parts of 17 seasons. Won the Gold Glove at 1B in '79-'80, three straight Silver Sluggers from '80-'82 and won two AL RBI championships ('80, '83). Cecil personalized both of my cards, signed and returned them in thirty-four days care of the Houston Astros. Thanks Mr. Cooper!
