Greg was a fifth round selection in the 1979 draft, taken by the New York Yankees. He would play fifteen seasons for three teams, winning two World Series in 1987 and in 1991 with the Minnesota Twins. Gagne's biggest claim to fame is his World Series winning RBI in Game 7 of the 1987 World Series. Greg would wind up with a .254 average and 111 homeruns, mostly from the shortstop position.
