The Cincinatti Reds were an American Association team from 1883-1889 before joining the National League in 1890. The Reds have won five World Series, including the infamous 1919 Black Sox scandal ridden series, and most recently, the 1990 sweep of the Oakland A's. The Reds add to that four more pennants for nine total NL championships and have retired seven players' numbers.
