Clevelander Dave Mlicki was able to fulfill his boyhood dream when he was drafted by the home team in the 17th round of the 1990 draft. Quickly reached the Majors in 1992 with the Indians as a starter. Started 193 games in his ten year Major League career, posting a 4.72 ERA with a 66-80 record. Retired after the 2002 season; the previous season, he was traded one for one for Jose Lima.
