While everyone speaks of the Billy Goat and the Curse of the Bambino, nobody seems to mention the fact that the Philadelphia Phillies have only won one championship despite being in the National League since 1883. The Phillies have won five NL pennants, most recently in 1993 when they lost in six games to the Toronto Blue Jays and the bat of Joe Carter.
